Last little tidbit to share... the roof was put on as an afterthought. Money was about to run out on the project the first time, but Albert was encouraged to skin the roof as it would preserve the place in the case that it would remain dormant for long. That saved it for the second round of building that didn't happen for more than a decade later. About $1 million of damages to the beams were incurred by exposure to our rainforest conditions. If it weren't for the roof the floor or the beams would have never lasted as long as it did. I'm glad you had a chance to explore it. I still pictures and videos with Albert explaining his video, alas a dream that never came to life. However it was something beautiful for all that visited it and worked on it.

Shame it was never finished.. In 1994 at least it looks like the timbers were solid enough where they could have just picked up where they left off
