Getting closer, now you can really see the main part of the building, where it juts out leaving the tower part hanging over empty air. Looking to the left, you can see it was not an easy approach

  the cascading stairwell is reinforced by bars that were drilled 120 feet into the rock. This whole building was designed to withstand some pretty extreme earthquakes.

  Swimming facilities were to be built that would have overlooked that railed portion on the leftmost part of the picture.
