Description
Caption: THE COAL CONVEYER BELT at Battersea Power Station is composed of rubber-faced material and is curved upwards at the edges to prevent the coal from spilling off. Coal from colliers alongside the jetty seen in the background is loaded on to the conveyer belt which carries the coal to a hopper in the weighing tower. Having been weighed, the coal is moved up another band conveyer to the bunkers at the top of the building.
