  Rewired in the 1980s? That makes no sense! Although there is a modern meter box nearby. :-S I think this place has been abandoned for a lot longer than since the '80s.

  "Founded in 1971, BASEC" -- So could be earlier than the 80's matey.

I had 1984 stuck in my head, but I think that was only the year you were legally FORCED to install to BASEC regs.
