what's so great about diamonds anyway??
Posted by WingedNatalina 1/1/2007 8:04 PM | remove
They're shiny and relatively indestructible, rare, and in sizes of a half carat or more, very coveted.

And people on tv tell you that you're supposed to like them, and if you don't, that means you don't really have the capcity for love.

MM-actually, I agree. If I had one, I'd probably lose it anyway.

I just saw a banner ad that read "Give diamonds as powerful as your feelings" and I wanted to punch my computer in the face.

I'm not sure what the big deal with diamonds is, I mean sure, they can be pretty, if there's not too many of them, but most of the time it's overdone...

Abandoned buildings can be pretty, too, but I don't see people wearing them around their necks.

So uh... I need to meet a female that doesn't like diamonds... as long as she likes old cars :-P

  I'd rather have diamonds.
Posted by BravoOrig 1/6/2008 7:32 AM | remove
They all say they don't need a diamond until that time and they see every other female they know has one.
Posted by SaraBellum 1/6/2008 6:36 PM | remove
Actually, BravoOrig, I love my plain wedding band. I don't even have an engagement ring.
Posted by Opheliaism 1/7/2008 5:55 AM | remove
  I don't want a diamond either.
Posted by BravoOrig 1/7/2008 4:05 PM | remove
I guess I should retract my statement. Espically because I didn't want a plain wedding band and I also didn't want one of the many gaudy mens rings out there that used car salesmen wear. So yeah, my ring has 3 small diamonds, I'll admit it.
Posted by SaraBellum 1/7/2008 4:15 PM | remove
Did you do it because "every other female" you knew had one?
Posted by Emperor Wang 1/7/2008 5:18 PM | remove
Way to slur the entire used car salesman population, dude. God damn bigot.
