     History
It had a view to the 1980 Gwangju Uprising and the deadly military suppression of it. The building housed a few newspapers at the time, and soldiers opened fire on them from a helicopter. For decades after, the building was still in use, the shots fired just a hot-headed allegation. Then finally around the time of the fall of Park Geun-hye, the government did an actual check and found verification of the bulletholes.

     Future Plans
It will be reopened for the public in 2020 in time for the 5.16 anniversary. The whole building will undergo renovation, except the bulletholes.

20200518 update: seems like remodeling is complete.
