Great old school with a bell tower that has since fallen through the roof. A second less-interesting school sits to the east. Has a basement with boys/girls restrooms, main floor with several classrooms, and one classroom on the second floor. Parts of the building were briefly used as a residence and a bathroom was added to the first floor. Now owned by a local man who maintains the property. Lots of neighbors to the north and southwest of the school who do pay attention.

Butlerville High School from 1904 to 1950. Elementary school/junior high (1922-1972) was next door. Both buildings were victims of Indiana's widespread school consolidation around that time. The high school was briefly used as a residence sometime after its closure. Both buildings are now owned by a local man who maintains the property. Bell tower on the high school collapsed into the second floor sometime between September 2014 and April 2015.
Update: Most of the front wall collapsed in 2018 and after several sales of the property, both schools were placed under an emergency demolition order. They were demolished sometime between October 18, 2020 and July 4, 2021.

The entire property encompassing both schools is now for sale for $1550.
