 Overview
 Description
At least 6 underground caves, possibly more of them.

Want to go explore the caves ?

The caves are called the Bearcat caves. They are located a short drive east of Kamloops near the town of Monte Lake. Once there you will turn on Mill Road. Follow this road for a while, this will become Monte Creek FSR. you will come to two forks along the way. Keep left at both forks. Soon after the second fork there's a little logging road going downhill on the left side. follow it until you get to the clearing. Again, go left. A ways up you'll come up to wood 200 road. Follow it til you see the log on the right side that reads Bearcat / Clowns. This is where you park your vehicle. (GPS N50 23.387 - W119 51.22) If you miss it, the road ends soon after so you won’t be able to drive too far past it.

I didn't need a high clearance 4x4 to get there, but if trees have fallen or it’s been raining... I could see some fallen trees, deep muddy holes... requiring a truck to get there.

Now, walk across the clearing on the left side of the road. There is no real trail, just bushwhack your way thru it. The first 2-3 caves are not so hard to find, for the others tho. For sure you will need a GPS.

Here are some cave coordinates :

More fissures then actual caves, the deepest one requires a 100' rappel down to the bottom, while others can be easily accessed without climbing gear.
