     History
Historically the Navile was one of the most important canals of Bologna. Used as a shipping channel, it connected to Porto Navile (built 1582, closed early 1800s), which was located in the park between MAMBO and the Cineteca. Further upstream the canal connects to the Aposa and other underground streams of the medieval city center.
