old style mansion, not in the best of condition but you dont see to many like this anymore. its completely open and theres really not much cept for the murals and the interesting inner works of the house. there used to be a cool piano in there but its gone. My groups been seen by the park rangers a few times but theyve never done anything they stopped looked at us for a second and then drove off.

     History
The mansion was built in 1926 as a West End retreat for family of George Sealy Jr. Later, Maco Stewart, founder of Stewart Title Co., bought the 8,200-square-foot Spanish Colonial mansion as his resort home. The structure overlooks Lake Como and is in the area where pirate Jean Laffite is said to have buried his treasure. The mansion suffers from deterioration, but many original features, such as the tiled courtyard and interior murals, are still intact. Intense paranormal activity is rumored to saturate the property, but seems largely unsubstantiated. The mansion has been on Galveston Historical Foundation’s Heritage At Risk list since 2004. i believe there was a fire or multiple as several rooms had smoke/fire damage
