     History
Rocky Acres summer homes were rented and owned by people who lived in Rhode Island seasonally during the operation of Rocky Point Amusement Park..
The Rocky Point Amusement Park was a highly popular landmark on the Narragansett Bay side of Warwick, Rhode Island. It operated from the late 1840s until its close in 1995. The following year, the park filed for bankruptcy.
For some history on RPP check the documentary "You Must Be This Tall".
     Media Coverage
There is little no information on the housing complex itself.

     Future Plans
The Rhode Island Capital Bonds for Open Space Question, also known as Question 4, was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the state of Rhode Island as a legislatively-referred state statute. The measure was approved.
The measure's purpose was to issue general obligation bonds to acquire title to land in and around what used to be Rocky Point Park to establish the land as a public park. The money for the project would not exceed $10 million. $1.5 million would also be used to renovate Fort Adams State Park in the city of Newport.
