Built in 1911, this hotel was originally very fashionable and cosmopolitan in character. It has 16 rooms of varying sizes, many no longer in use. The hotel’s outward appearance remains similar today as in 1911, with a few renovations over the years. I thought it may be of interest to some here so I was given permission to take some pictures.

There are many areas that are no longer in use, plus many original and old school features remaining.
|

In operation since 1911,this hotel was once a stopping point for many who arrived via train when the town was new. In the vacant lot next door, which is still owned by CNRail, many would camp in tents waiting to find suitable housing. There was originally a side for women to drink, and a side for men.
This hotel has survived multiple fires in the area,and is one of the oldest buildings remaining and still in use. It has a reputation for being haunted, plus a few tragedies that I know of have taken place here.
