A temporary swing bridge forced Crystal Springs citizens to cross the river at great risk. In 1914 this bridge was erected. The wooden floor was replaced by iron grid in the 1940’s. In 1995, when the Stark County Commissioners vacated this bridge the Jackson Township historical Society intervened to save it. As a result, the Jackson Township Trustees assumed responsibility for this bridge.
