 Overview
 Description
This is a giant complex that is currently for sale/lease. The place used to be a respectable machine plant, but has apparently lost its usefulness. Located adjacent to the BHM airport, the Steward Machine Plant 2 is half abandoned, half active and it is actually big enough not to matter. You could have a rave in the north end on a Monday morning and not one of the 100 people that work on the South end would ever know. However, efforts to sell the place have led to some cleaning up of the north which has take away much of the character (I assume) and could lead to some unwanted activity during work hours. An abandoned office building is also at the site, but it is surrounded by what appears to be a valet parking lot for the airport, which has expected security measures.

     Interesting Features
This place is mammoth. There is probably two miles worth of structure. Most of it is cleaned out and there is less a sense of abandonment in most places as there is of sheer expansiveness.

The south end of the complex still appears to be in use. However, the north end, at least, is for sale/lease and is almost totally cleaned out. Still, its an amazing place to see.
