 Overview
 Description
I did not expect the ruined city to be extensive enough that one can literally get lost in its narrow, cobblestoned streets. Though Pompeii is one of Italy's top tourist attractions it is not so hard to avoid their stream and enjoy a truly surreal experience, "off-limits" areas are pretty easily accessible.

     Interesting Features
4 villas (most notably Villa of Mysteries), 26 named "houses" such as "Castor & Pollox," " the Tragic Poet," "the Faun" and so on, 2 necropoli, 7 temples (some Egyptian, mostly Greek), a forum, an amphitheater and long streets of small, unnamed houses with short little doorways. Intricate mosaics, frescos, pottery, and those famous castes of victims from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
