     History
The site was formerly owned by Molycorp and operated as a rare earth minerals (Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Tb, Lu, and Y) refining facility. The facility closed in the mid 1990s, (superfund site # COD076448794) underwent environmental remediation and monitoring, and was given a clean bill of health from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for redevelopment in 2005.

     Future Plans
The site will be redeveloped to include over 200,000 square feet of new industrial warehouse and office space, rail facilities for distribution of construction products, and ready-mix concrete and asphalt plants. The South Santa Fe Commerce Center expects that lots for development will be delivered in summer 2007.

But, this has not happened yet, so not sure if it actually will.

UPDATE: Oct 2009- Noticed some big trucks parked down by the facility, maybe they are actually starting to work on it? If, so; a night explore would be advised so you don't run into any construction workers!

UPDATE: June 2012- Big trucks and materials storage appears to be over and site is for sale, but it looks like the plans for development are still up on Front Range Aggregates' website.
