Green Acres Residential Care Facility has filed for bankruptcy.
The facility, which at one time cared for more than 80 residents, closed in February after the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services terminated the facility's operating license.
The facility had received citations from the state and had financial difficulties.
The Chapter 7 voluntary petition, which calls for the liquidation of assets, was filed March 21. It said Green Acres' assets totaled $222,017. Those assets include an estimated $130,500 for bed licensure, which can be sold to other residential-care facilities.
