One of the largest building in Hastings Fl started out as a town hall, community center, and library, though there has also been mentions of it also being part fire station. Have yet to find anything to confirm but would explain the large, almost 2 car, garage style opening.
When city hall moved out and into the former Hastings High School, the Red Cross moved into the building, serving the St. Johns River Area of Putnam county until about 2002 when Red Cross Chapters merged to form the Northeast Chapter.

Edit: The city had plans to demolish it but in 2007 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is currently for sale.
