     History
The original building on that occupied this lot was built as a carry-out "red and white" style McDonald's built in 1961 (the first one in the area). It was replaced in 1976 by the current building (a newer sit-down style McDonald's).

However, when the rest of the surrounding Ridgeville Shopping Center started to deteriorate and lose business, McDonald's suffered as well. To help prop up sales, they were used as a test store for a new concept, the indoor playground. According to my mom (who worked there), McDonald's looked for the poorest-performing store and said that if "an indoor playground could help that store, they'd work anywhere". In 1982, they got the indoor playland.

It worked, for awhile. Sadly, as tenants vacated the shopping center, McDonald's also felt the sting. Finally, sometime in the late 90's, McDonald's was no more. They closed this location in favor of a busier location closer to the turnpike exit.

Sparky Reality has now bought this, along with the shopping center, a restaurant, a car wash, and a bank and plan to demolish everything in favor of a rumored new shopping center.
