     History
From what little information I have about this place, it was a textile or furniture mill built around 1875. It sits along the bank of the Big Alamance Creek. There was at one time a dam across the creek, and you can see why the mill was located here in a narrow spot of the river bordered by rock walls. A small town sprung up around it, and when the mill closed around 1949, the town pretty much died. The dam appears to have come down by force, and if so, may have been the cause of the mill shutting down. Interestingly, there are at least two tall metal silos standing in the town that may be related to the mill. Their close proximity to the houses makes me wonder what they were for.

     Future Plans
It will probably just sit there and collapse further into a big pile of rubble.
