     History
Zemborzyce reservoir was builded on the river Bystrzyca in early 1960's. It's main purpose was to store water during occasional floods. Forest around original river was cut, dam was build at northern end of lake and terrain was flooded with remains of that forest. In the deepest point there is 8 meters to the bottom, near banks it's just 1,5-2 meters. It's used as spot for local anglers and for recreation. Around this artificial lake are located three recreation facilities. Because of problems with Cyanobacteria during summer all of them are not financially well. Eastern bank of lake is reinforced with concrete, now in poor shape. Surroundings hidden in Dąbrowa forest are fairly devastated. There is also partly dismounted water ski lift and small marina. I won't recommend swimming in lake for anyone, but for bike riding and recreation it's a good place.
