The production started in 1922 and focused heavily on newsprint. Around 1950 difficulties began, as there was not much interest in small factories. Because of the mill's location, at the shore of Lännerstasundet and in the mountains, there were no possibilities to expand. The mill was also heavily criticised for their discharge of quicksilver.
