Like a small abandoned village: Many apartment blocks & utility buildings, a fire department, 4 hangars for planes, 4 hangars for tanks and vehicles, a church, own purification plant, tank cleaning pit, railway station with 3 tracks (mostly demolished) and some rectifier buildings.
Some parts are beeing open to public and/or used by companys, but it's forbidden to explore inside the abandoned buildings.

Most buildings and hangars are still in place but abandoned. Only the old flight fields were destroyed and turned into a golf course including a driving range.

Built in 1921 as a public airport this site was taken over by the Nazis in the mid of the 30' and was used as an "Luftwaffe" airfield and a training school for pilots.
In 1945 the site was confiscated by the US Army and was changed to a army base (using most of the nazi era buildings). It was closed in the early 90's.
