They built their headquarters in Ottawa across from Canada Post on Brookfield Drive in 1969, obviously with federal money, since it was a state of the art building at the time.. In 1978 the company was merged with another IT firm to form Datacrown Technologies. They outgrew this location quickly, and in 1983 Canada Post acquired the building. By 2000 Canada Post decided to leave and sold the property to a developer who in turn leased it to JDS Uniphase. Of course, JDS suddenly found itself with a lot of excess office space after the tech meltdown in 2002, and simply walked away. It is unclear if JDS is still stuck in this lease, however no "for lease" signs are to be found on the property, and the parking lot is now a private pay-lot for government workers. There is no evidence JDS ever even occupied the building. The building has sat vacant for some time, and vandals have entered and smashed windows, etc. Demolition began on Feb 19, 2007 and both buildings were levelled by March 28th. Site stats: Last sold for $3million in 2000.
