     History
The Parsons Mine ws one of many very successful mines in the Nogal area. The Silver Queen, Crow Lode, Argentina, Turkey Creek, Maude, Helen Rae and others produced Silver and Iron in large quantities. Parsons was fiarly centrally located, and so became the town which supplied these wide spread mines. The Parsons Mine itself was an iron mine, with a wide but not particularly long vein.

In the 1920's, the mines started to slowly play out, and finally closed during the Great Depression. The Parson Hotel stood until the mid 1980's, when it was burned by vandals. Now, little remains excpet some rusting machinery and the mine.

     Future Plans
This is inthe Lincoln National FOrest, so nothing new will be constructed here. The machines will slowly rust away, and the mine will eventually cave in.
