Visually very cool, lot's of large sized machinery. Geographically very interesting location.  Security Measures fences barbed wire razor wire dogs part-time guard 24 hour guard locked gates welded doors wooden boarding there is one resident who lives on the property, I did not see him on my trip, however I heard him yelling every hour or so, I do not know if he knew of my presence. I heard dogs at one point as well.  Historical Dates Built: 1851 Closed: 1974  Required Equipment binoculars long pants / sleeves towelettes camera, water, -lot's of water in the summer, high clearance vehicle. 4x4 preferred. plenty of gas, as the area is extremely remote.
