     History
Brice was initially a series of mining claims, which were loosely called the Brice Mining District. The first claim was located by a hunchback prospector named Old Perk Perkins. Over 350 mines and almost 1,000 claims lie in the immediate area, which is only 4 square miles, including the fabulously rich Nannie Baird and Garnet mines. Several buildings still stand, along with tons of equipment, headframes and mine shafts to explore.

     Future Plans
This is BLM land, so nothing new will be built here. The old structures will slowly rot away and the mines will cave in until nothing remains.
