  •  Interesting Features
As the name indicates - Stricklands had more of a Lodgey feel to it. The woods are dotted with small chalets - some cool old buildings, and some odd newer buildings. The styling overall is very modern and odd - like paneling...

     History
Stricklands Mountain Inn was originally a small family hotel, that eventually was purchased by the nearby Mount Airy Lodge, and maintained by the same management. Guests to any of the 3 hotels owned by Mount Airy Lodge could go to any of the other 2 hotels for dinner, entertainment, etc.
Well, Mount Airy went under in the late 90's, and so did Stricklands. Unlike it's 2 sister resorts, Stricklands is wide open, and much less vandalized. Although the nearby Mount Airy Lodge has been demolished in anticipation of a casino, nothing has happened at Stricklands...

     Future Plans
Perhaps it too will some day become part of Mount Airy Casino
