     History
    Originally a Bath stone quarry ( from 1881).
    taken over by the MOD (ministry of defence) and turned into a navel amunition storage facility during WW2 finished in 1941 nad could store some 120,000 tons of amunition, covering districts 12-20. Once the MOD moved out in 1960 the scrape men moved in, clearing a lot of the metal work, then for a short while parts were used as a museum while the rest (districts 12-18) was taken over by Wansdyke a secure storage company
