  •  Interesting Features
The ambiguously named UER entry of "The Spire" is actually this building's exhaust for the six boilers.

Two boilers are ancient, having been made for coal and refitted twice for oil and natural gas. A computer system controls the entire feeding process of fuel and air.

Structurally, it's a massive box. The basement is a half a floor lower, and there are many places to climb up high. The steam in the steam tunnels originates from this location, although the tunnels do not physically connect to the steam plant.

The intricacy of the piping is very dream-like, and some of the mechanical devices resemble freudian versions of penises and vaginas.

     History
One of the first buildings built, the steam plant's generators still have hatches for the coal to be shoveled into the boilers. Later on, it was converted to oil boilers and finally into its present configuration of using dual fuel boilers that can burn either natural gas or oil.
