 Overview
 Description
Does anyone have any pictures of the old Castlegate? I drove by this damned place thousands of times, wanting to go in, but I never did more than poke around the fenced periphery one time when I was feeling particularly non-ballsy. I don't know where the pictures that I took are, but there weren't many.

     Future Plans
    • The single large anchor tenant will be confined to the lower level of the two-level retail section and will not exceed 150,000 gross leasable square feet.

    • The upper retail level will consist of several buildings, which will be arranged to create a “boulevard” effect from the Howell Mill Road entrance and no tenant on the upper level shall exceed 70,000 square feet.

    • The developer will use “reasonable efforts to secure two restaurant tenants that will utilize outdoor patio seating within the boulevard portion of the retail development.”

    • The boulevard will contain a tree-lined median, fountain elements and 90-degree parking “reminiscent of a town center.”

    • The project will feature a linear park that will start at the beginning of the boulevard retail area and meander through the retail and residential components to the cul-de-sac on Commerce Drive

    • All utility lines and storm water detention facilities will be underground.

    • The developer will be incorporating PEDS suggestions for making the development pedestrian friendly and will incorporate four bike racks throughout the project.

    • The retail developer has conducted a major traffic study—including 20 intersections in the vicinity—and will update that study based on a Wal-Mart store versus the earlier planned Costco store.

    • The developer will install a new traffic signal at the Howell Mill Road entrance and has agreed to pay for a fiber optic synchronization system for traffic signals on Howell Mill from I-75 to Chattahoochee Avenue, and will consider extending the system to Collier Road.

    • Selig will perform a hydrology study on the site regarding storm water detention and will study flooding concerns of neighborhoods north of I-75.

    • The developers will limit access from the Commerce Drive entrance only to the residential development.

    • Selig will provide $100,000 to Berkeley Park for traffic improvements to mitigate impact from the project.

    • The developers will comply with the Atlanta tree ordinance and will contribute an additional $5,000 to Trees Atlanta.
