I remember my dad taking us exploring there when I was a kid, it was one of the moments that got me into exploring. I've never been to the walled garden before, though, and wasn't even aware of it. The cottage may have been inhabited long after Castle Grant was abandoned - the latest newspaper date in the cottage reads 1977 and Castle Grant was almost certainly abandoned long before that.
