Turn of the century transfer station/garbage incinerator. Remains of plenty of other old foundations and a quanset hut. Also at the entry, is a large concrete structure that used to be a vault that is the only thing standing after a fire burned everything else down.

Safety glasses? Watch your peepers if you go exploring in the woods. Thick growth. Almost poked out my eyes.

Was built a long time ago. It burned lots of garbage. People said "hey that place is smoky and smelly" so they turned off the funaces one day and never came back. Then one day, an insane old guy with lots of money bought it and was going to start it up again. He died. Lots of trees are growing there because they have nothing better to do, but grow. I rediscovered it in the spring of 2005 and have laid claim to it. It is now mine. I am going to build a fort in it and you guys can all come, and we'll tell freaky stories and drink beer. I just need some wood, nails and some Penthouse centerfolds to put up. It is going to be sooooo awesome!!!!

The owner of A. Gold and sons bought the place in 1990 and built the arched metal dome with the intent on restarting the incinerator. This was told to me by the old guy that has the truck garage across the street. He died before he ever put the wacky idea into motion. Now it sits all overgrown and scary looking. If I was a kid, i'd have pooped my pants looking at the old furnaces below.
