     History
Saltsjöqvarn had its origin in the company Holmberg & Möller, who bought the area from Danvikens Hospital in 1888. The construction took place between 1888 and 1890.

Because of its location on the shore of Saltsjön and the outlet of Mälaren, the new factory was named Saltsjöqvarn.
But the construction was far from done. More and more buildings were built between 1890 and 1970, including the semolina mill.

Saltsjöqvarn was finally shut down in 1989. In the beginning of 2000, the Swedish construction company NCC started to re-build the old factory buildings into residential buildings.
