There's T-shaped bunker structure with 5 rooms - two small, one large, one the arm of the T, and a bathroom. And, of course, the dish.

Large (several stories high) satellite dish in the middle of the forest at end of foot trail, and steel/concrete bunker full of seventies/eighties electronics.
Dirt mounds have been put up to stop road access. What was once a road is now just a foot path beyond the piles. Site is checked regularly by the owner (weekly?) - chance of encounter very low.

EDIT 2009: This site is fully gone. Just an empty lot now. Looks like it was a TV station thing of some kind - built in the seventies or eighties, abandoned - not sure when. The TV supposition is based on the fact that I remember seeing various electronic parts labelled "CTV" (etc.) - all of which are Canadian TV stations. The facility was built by Telestar (see the gallery) - maybe someone can comment on this company. I've been several times, and the degeneration is progressive. The first few times I went (maybe seven years ago), there was a chain link fence with microwave radiation warnings around it. Over time, the fence got pulled up - salvaged by someone. One time the building was open, and there was a fair amount of electronics in there, bathroom, etc - everything starting to fall apart, but fundamentally OK. Then, it was locked again for several years, and I haven't been back until this past weekend (Nov. 2004). Degeneration is now marked - some of the doors are physically missing, electronics are strewn about the area, half of the dish's reflecting surface has disappeared, the bathroom fixtures are gone, etc. The only security measures still in place is the mound of dirt that blocks off the road. There's a big sign on the building now asserting posession by one of the local business people - not sure what his plans are for the area.

Unknown - the owner has put his name on the building, though (literally), which is the biggest change this structure has seen in probably a decade. Not sure what the sudden interest by the owner means for its future...
