My parents built that drive-in in 1964 and operated it until 1978 . It was sold and then closed permanently by the new owners in 1981. Also The correct name is Border Drive-In Theatre and not Border Curry Hill Drive-In. The Curry Hill Drive-in was a separate property a few miles away. It played French language films predominantly and we played English films. The Curry-Hill Drive-in closed a couple of years before ours. It was demolished immediately to be a parking lot for the truck-stop across the street. The owners that bought our Border Drive-in simply abandoned the property and that's why people think there was only one drive-in . It bothered me enough to write out of respect for my parents that built the Border-drive-in by hand.
