Red brick construction, very sound, sealed up with tight wooden boarding and locked doors. No open widows, vents. No possible method of entry visible. I suggest a legit approach to the school board.

The town of Collingwood and Admiral Collingwood Public School are named after Lord Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood. He became the commander at Trafalgar when Nelson was mortally wounded. Admiral Collingwood died in the Service of his country, on board of the "Ville-De-Paris" on March 7th, 1810. The school is located at the corner of Hume and Hurontario Streets. It was built in 1925 following a fire which destroyed the town’s original high school built in 1874. Many local residents have fond memories of the school. It was originally opened as Collingwood Collegiate Institute and later became a senior public school when C.C.I. moved to its present site. In 1981, Senior Public became Admiral Collingwood, now a JK to Grade 8 school. "The really neat thing about the school was that as a grade 6, 7 and 8 school, you got the chance to get to know everybody in town," said Terry Geddes, principal at the school from 1985 to 1992. "We were treated like senior-aged kids," he said, adding the presence of shop class, gym showers and lockers made kids feel like they were already in high school. Mr. Geddes was also a student at the senior public school in the early 60’s. John Dance, the present principal, remembers the school promoting the Triple A's- Arts, Academics and Athletics. "We have facilities here that other schools can’t match, including a gymnasium and an auditorium." Jim Trott a local business man was 14 when he attended the former CCI in the 1930's. In the auditorium, everybody met each morning for the Lord’s Prayer and the singing of God Save the King. "It was a great auditorium too," said Mr. Trott.
