     History
Probably built in the 1960 as an expansion to the Montreal Consumers Glass. All kind of glass products were made there, like glass jars for the food industries, as well as glass bottles.

Edit exposfan: Initially built by Dominion Glass, renamed Domglass in 76 and was under that name until 1988 when Domglass was merged into Consumers Packaging, the merged company became Consumers Glass. It was at that time Libby St-Clair glass products stopped being produced here and consolidated in Wallaceburg Ontario. The plant lasted into the 90s using outdated technology, faced with a refit the company opted to renovate the already better maintained former Domglass plant in Pte-St-Charles. This plant closed in 97-98 if memory serves me correctly. The warehouse for glass productes was closed shortly thereafter because the Lasalle warehouse was larger and closer. It was still owned by Consumers when Owings Illinois bought the company. Canadian Pacific use the old loading tracks to store executive private railcars, and Delson Transport stores fibreglass there.

     Future Plans
Will be used as warehouse for probably a long time, until maintenance costs become too high, at that time the place will probably be bulldozed down.

7.28.2023 - Buildings were leveled and the entire property has been repurposed as mixed residential / retail.
