 Overview
 Description
All buildings have been updated with new boards, making entrance in 3 out of 4 buildings difficult, but not impossible. Nearly all windows on the basement/1st floor level are covered. The main building is in a heavy state of decay, due to the ongoing issue of water damage (since it was left on for so long). Floors are covered with rot, and in some places about 1/2" to 1" of water stands. Still full of fun stuff though. The drive has also been chained off in two places, with signs at both reading "No Trespassing, Authorized Personnel Only." The presence of copper thieves is now evident, unfortunately.

     History
Broadacres opened as a tuberculosis sanitorium in 1929. It was converted into a nursing home in 1966 and was then closed in 1996.

Jensen Hall was built in 1935, originally called the "Children's Building."
     Media Coverage

     Future Plans
We found an article dated 1999 that said that the location was being considered for a military school. Obviously this has not happened and I highly doubt it will.

Dukes aunt (who works for the county) said they currently use the place for dumping garbage that the landfill won't take.

Found an article from Sept 06 that said they have secured state money to have the whole complex torn down. See link below. Nothing else yet.
