Amazing feeling of dark, depressing, decay and solitude. The harsh use of light and nice angle really add to the feel. Even the window pain in the foreground is good. I don't which Gunkanjima you're talking about, but the one I visited has buildings made of wood, brick, stone, cinderblock and a few other things I am sure.
