Nothing beats a burnt-out car, especially a Nova.

That version is a butt ugly insult to the name Nova. The real Novas were built between 1969 to 1979. (The one I'm restoring is a '76) The '80s versions were called (appropriately) Toyolets!

I prefer the Chevrolet Novas. Classy, handled beautifully and practically indestructable. Explains why mine stayed in the family so long. Lots of good times driving that car!

And yes lost. The description is very appropriate for this car.

Wasn't the North American Nova also a crappy budget car from the era when American manufacturers were trying to dissuade people from buying small cars by making them as woeful as possible?

Ha ha ha--Chevy Novas! The only people I've ever seen driving them are grandmas going about 40 mph in the slow lane on the freeway!

Well, I was nailed doing 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in mine and the fastest I got it up to was 78mph. Only had a six but that baby really moved! And in the winter, when a lot of people were waiting for CAA to show up to help start their cars, I would be driving by, keeping nicely warmed up by the heater knowing full well that the car will start up every time. That car was very reliable and it never let me or my Mom down! And woeful? Nah, I personally think it's a pretty car. Simple with clean lines, cheap and easy to repair and maintain back then. And you'd be surprised but three months ago, I saw a '76 Nova heading up the street in Toronto under its own power sounding real smooth! :-)

Wouldn't you think the walls around the car would be black from the fact that the car has obviously been burnt out?

My mate had one stored a barn for a year or so and when he went to insure it the price was horrendous coz Nova = ned's car. (typically).
