New BC user to UER, greetings!

Hey everyone

Been a lurker for a long time and thought I'd finally register. Very much appreciate the pictures and stories and effort that goes behind posting your stuff. Have enjoyed reading for a while

I hope to contribute a bit. I'm more into finding Ghost towns and other abandoned places than doing any real UE, but they do cross paths often enough!

I'm in the lower Vancouver Island area, and if anyone ever wants to meet up I'd be happy to.

A

Wow, thanks man. I love that others are appreciating it. It started just as my own hobby, and has really turned into something more as other people participate.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

No probs, my girlfriend subscribes to it too. One of my buddy's started talking about it out of nowhere the other day. It's good to see something like that being updated weekly, because a lot of facebook page's like that go stagnant.

I was waiting for the car's by Loon lake with anticipation, I love that kind of thing.

Nice, I've followed this facebook page for a while! Have you checked out much of the Comox/Courtenay/Cumberland area yet? I used to know a fair few sites up there, but that was around 20 years ago now. One that stands out is the concrete shell of a power plant from the early 1900's, few hours out in the middle of nowhere. ;)

Hello everyone! I'm in the Tricities area and my husband and I love exploring old homesteads, ghost towns and abandoned buildings. We metal detect and haven't had much luck finding old relics, etc. We have tons of photos exploring abandoned places and will post them up on site here soon.

We are new to the site here and hope to find new areas to explore and meet others who are into exploring too!

Thanks for the replies guys! Would love to meet up with some folks and go explore.

Azazel, I haven't been up in that area lately but it's definitely on the to-do list. Unfortunately I don't know where much is up there. Any chance you want to meet up one weekend and grab some photos?

Cacheseeker, I'd love to see them! Please feel free to post them on the Haunted BC wall as well. I'm sure the other viewers there would appreciate it!

For sure! I should have my car back on the road in a month or two, I'd be down for hitting the island up. Haven't been back to Comox since, oh, 1996 I think.

We have cars here too! Just hop on a boat, and bring yer gear!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Hey there, I live in the Comox valley and spend a lot of time researching and locating old mining time ruins. Looking to get into more UE stuff. I have done some but still a novice. If anyone is up for checking out old mining locations Hit me up, though might be awhile till I can get back out there since just had knee surgery yesterday.
