Exploration this Sat (2/25)

Howdy!

I know I have been dormant for most of the year but I'm feeling some exploration this weekend! My buddy bought me some filters so I knew I had to take him this weekend haha! As of right now, I don't have anywhere in mind, so I'm just polling for who's down. I'm in the Denver/Golden/Boulder area and we are looking to start early and not travel more than about 3-4 hours.

So let's hear it, anyone want to join or have any ideas for where to go? (Well if you do know anywhere, just PM me ;) )

Have an awesome day!

I'm not sure if Titan would be the best idea for a day trip. But if you guys know how to get in undetected during the day, I'm down! Without bringing an extra car, I can carry two people.

I was talking to my buddy and he seemed really interested in some abandoned mountain towns, but who isn't down for missile silos?

I did the silo in the middle of the day, easy as hell. But there are alot of cool drains we could hit. Like crystal Pepsi, river gate hallows, waterfall temple. Tons of cool drains.

Nah, Titans are literally located in the middle of no where, though in some cases development has caused civilization to start to creep up on them. It does not matter when you go.

I am down for Titans--except I work this Saturday. Sadface.jpg
Plus, check out that weather yo. I say raincheck for the Saturday after this? I could possible even give a ride to one or two people, because I was thinking of heading down there soon myself anyways. With a gang of penguins and miscreants alike.

Would be interested in joining up with you guys if you're going out to shoot this weekend (out of town next weekend though.) Titans, mountain towns, whatever.

I'm feeling we can meet up at a local coffee shop then hit up Titan and see about doing Denver or somewhere further. Anyone who is down, e-mail me with your phone number and I will text you the address and details! So far, I am looking at taking two people unless you are willing to drive (just let me know!)

Thanks for being proactive everyone, it's gonna be a blast.

Kyle

So I ended up spending the day exploring Denver. Saw a lot of cool stuff, but unfortunately I did not have my camera, only my cell phone I got on many roofs haha and saw a lot of under-construction buildings, but only a few abandoned structures. I have sad news though, I took my buddy to that abandoned neighborhood that many of you know about. Of about the 30 houses there, we went in 20. EVERY single one has been destroyed by scrappers. All the houses are severely devastated. No metal is left in them and almost all the drywall is gone due to the removal of conduit/wiring. On one house, they tried to set in on fire after doing burnouts on a motorcycle in the kitchen. When that failed, they tried to pull the support down between the garages by tying a rope to their vehicle... All the entryways (door, windows, EVERYTHING) was torn out to remove the items... I won't go in to more detail, just really sucks. The place is NOT worth going to anymore.

Hopefully though more people can come next time, I still am very anxious to see Titan!

EDIT: Sorry for the triple post! Didn't realize till after the fact!

Wow, sounds like it may be the end of that neighborhood? Do you think it will be officially demolished or just left to demolish itself?

And burnouts in the kitchen on a motorcycle!? Crazy!
