| | | When the weather is cold, rainy and nasty and you cant get outside to explore, what better way to scratch that itch than to go through some old pics and create a new thread, right? Through my many travels I've come across so many things, this place is in rural Tyrone GA and its one of those spots that you just drive past without giving it a second thought as it disappears in the rear view. A gate with an overgrown driveway that vanishes into the forest. This old farm stead was over run by the forest a long time ago and was forgotten from memory until recently a clear cut exposed it again. A farm house, a cemetery, a few barns and some very old vehicles. I am beginning to love shooting in the rural areas now. Not like the urban locations, heavily scrapped, tagged and blown to hell. There is so much left here that tells a story. Personal effects left behind that speak volumes. Rural areas are an untapped wealth of photographic opportunity, hope you enjoy. More pics to come.

And a bonus pic for the sheer joy of it. Enjoy the good days, there are so few of them now.

| | | I'm loving the skull and the car shots. There's some nice rural spots up where I live as well, just a lot of driving distance between each one.

| | | Nice shots! I agree, stumbling upon a place and feeling like you are the first person to explore it is an entirely different feeling.

| | | Thanks all, it was tons of fun to get out creep around in the woods for a day. I've got more shots of personal things left behind around the buildings that I'll put up later, I love the old toys.
Post by Mr.Blue you didn't have to kill the deer. we get it, you're a badass. |
You're right Blue, I didn't, but sometimes one just cant help oneself, can one? It's just that when the crimson blood made such an exquisite contrast with the green dew spattered clover I came into the realization that suffering and all meaningful art is inseparable. ;)

| | | Very well done friend. Love the graveyard, and I do enjoy the stories that go along with many of the locations that we all visit.
