Pictures from Utility Tunnels

Hi, I've been reading a bit on here for a while and thought I'd try posting some pictures I took on a recent trip the other day in some utility tunnels underneath a building on campus at the college in my town. I found a way down from the basement and went back and checked it out in the evening once less people were around. I don't have a fancy camera like some of you on here do, but I tried to get a good view of the place as best I could. The tunnels only went about a hundred feet in either direction before ending abruptly or only having a hatch up to the pavement that was chained shut.

I was really hoping it would connect up with the rest of the steam tunnel system that spans the campus, and more ways in are always good to find. Oh well, it wasn't the most exciting place I've ever explored, but it was still fun.

It's still unique in its own way, I've never been in active tunnels before. Been to the abandoned type before? You'll wanna put that respirator to good use and bring muck-proof shoes. Those things aren't so user-friendly.

I've never actually been to abandoned tunnels. I've never run across any of them around here. I've been down in various active ones that the university/city have set up here a handful of times and it's pretty fun, if you get a chance I'd take it. They're a lot less "rustic" than what you're describing, though they are crazy hot sometimes.

Nice brick tunnel! Seeing that mechanical room and all those steam pipes makes my heart race a little - lots of good exploring memories from college.

I also have a video where I climbed into a dried up wishing well and found a utility tunnel on the other side.
