I don't know much about Canon cameras but I can tell you it's nice to be able to shoot my Nikon D700 at iso 800-1600 without worrying too much about noise. If I could justify buying a D3S or a D4 I would shoot urbex with those. Abandonments can be pretty dark places, having a camera that performs well in low light gives you a lot more freedom off of the tripod.
