I just relocated from southern CA and I was wondering what sights were relatively close to Abq, as well as who might be nearby to explore with! Most of my exploring in CA was in the Death and Panamint Valley regions, ghost towns and mines...but I'm game for anything. I've got a good vehicle for highway travel (room for people and gear), and will get my hands on a 4x4 soon to reach more remote locations (been through all of Death Valley, Big Bear, and Rubicon). Don't mind combining trips with camping, backpacking, wheeling (more like excursions).
Anyway...if you're nearby or have suggestions, let me know!
