Fair enough. Art is subjective. I guess ethics are too.

I wish everyone on the internet was this level-headed.

grit your teeth in the face of fear. self repression is the true sign of a coward, toss your inhibitions to the wind.

You are on pretty shaky moral ground yourself Jester, considering you "rationalize" your right to trespass on property that isn't yours. How would you like it if someone explored your living room?

With that argument, you're challenging the basis on which most explorers look upon this hobby. Would I ever destroy, vandalize, or steal someone's property? No. Would I "explore" someone's home? No. Would I explore abandoned property, though it is still owned by someone? Yes. those are pretty standard "explorer"s beliefs.

By it's nature, exploration does break the law, in trespassing. That doesn't mean that the rest of a person's ethics are thrown out the window. Take only photos and leave only footprints makes sense to me. The ideal is to not do harm to the places you explore.

I don't feel that, "abandoned" or otherwise, it is anyone's right to vandalize property (unless it's your property or the owner says go ahead). I don't see a moral problem with my stance on this.

It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf.

Well said shark is now inhabiting a landfill along with all the other rotten bay doors, as the gvrd is developing the land. Would I be complicit with said cute girl to paint a shark, koi, or any other fish in say Crease clinic? No I would not. My ethics are fine and I don't give a fiddlers fart as to your opinion. Good day sir.

I don't expect to change your mind, nor did I believe you cared what I thought. People will always rationalize what they do. I rationalize trespassing, others rationalize vandalism. It's not like anything said here will change what you choose to do. Some will agree, some won't. Same as it's been since the day the forum opened.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a fiddlers fart?
