There was some interest in this building on a previous thread, so I went out to take some pictures of it sunday. People have converted this building, and now live in it, so I didnt want to overstep my boundrys... so this is all I got.

I'm really liking #6, with the building in the shot, but the balance/weighting of the image is driving me crazy. I think if you centered the image (aka rails) it would have more impact. Also digging #3.

Thanks for the great comments. Yellow, I see what you mean about 6. The center of the image is killing me now hahah. Glad you guys like 3, I was unsure about it at first.

Is this some weird attempt to assure us all that you are a strong, good looking, virile male? If I laid eyes on you, would my first thought be "Damn. He looks like he could totally chop wood."?

Cuz its working. ;)

It's no Cowichan! Nice set. That old BCER substation looks orginal, and looks great. The one to the east looks like crap. Updated and such. Thanks for the pix, nice to keep updated on old haunts.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Rumour is that the old building and area is haunted by an unhappy spirit. The story is that two Italian fellows working on the building or house (not too sure which one) had a quarrel and one of them got angry and cut off the other ones head and then threw the head down a well on the surrounding land.

You beat me to this one crawn. I have many pictures of this as well. I have always told my wife if that ever goes up for sale, I would mortgage everything to buy that place.
Here is a recent article in the langley advance about it.

If you click the photos tab there are a couple nice historical shots.

I have been unable to post until now (and sedated) about how excited this building has got me. Your photos are also excellent. As a heritage architecture fan, I'm extremely glad it lives on, and as much to Norval, an extremely important artist.

So good he finally got recognition, as many Native and non Native artists deserve.

My sister is Charlotte Light and Dark. Who am I?
