|  | | | Me and my friend (both of us are 18, I know from lurking that some of you hate anyone who isn't like 32) just began casually urban exploring.
We've explored an abandoned hotel in the downtown area, but were out of locations and neither of us want to just walk in somewhere we know nothing about and get arrested. Anyone want to partner up and find some cool locations, or go to some we already know of?

| | | | Welcome to the forum. Honestly no one hates on you for your age, we explore with lots of people of all ages. Its more your attitude than your age that earns you the hate. If I remember right there may in fact be a few things in the Bradenton area to see. Its just a matter of doing your homework and researching places and once you've got them doing your proper recon to know what your walking into. I grew up in Sarasota and spent much time in the Ringling Towers there before it was torn down. Fla is a cornucopia of delight if you are willing to do the work.

I'm only 19 and I haven't really made any enemies here yet. As long as you're polite and have a little common sense nobody will mess with you here. You're already off to a good start by asking if anyone wants to meet up and tag along with you instead of asking if anyone can just tell you some new spots to go to.
Perhaps you could post a few pictures from said hotel and see if it sparks the interest of anyone who lives in your area? Making friends on the site doesn't take much, and after you get to know people a little bit they'll be glad to invite you to events or come along with you to new locations once they trust you.

I am interested in seeing what you have come up with in photos as well, hotels are always interesting explores, to say the least.. I just quoted everything he said because I was thinking the same thing, he just said it first.

| | | | Just got done with our second trip to the hotel, the first trip we didnt bring a camera or any gear at all. This time we decided to bring one and we got to the roof top. As soon as we got up there and snapped some pictures, we saw someone in an adjacent office building looking at us on the phone, so we booked it out of there.
I bought a P100 respirator from Lowes prior to this, but god was it hot wearing that thing. I'm still a little worried about asbestos fibers sticking to us or maybe inhaling some.
